Before the holidays hit full stride, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the many people who made Troubadour Blues a reality in 2011: people who sat through the many early screenings and gave their feedback; friends who talked me through the year-and-a-half-long editing process; Kickstarter supporters; the couple of fans who ordered 10-packs of DVDs and gave them as Christmas gifts; writers who critiqued the film and publications that ran ads and reviews.
Thank you! It would not have been possible without you!
Here’s a schedule of screenings in 2012 that have been booked so far.
January 1 (Sunday) — 5 pm at Mocha Maya’s, 47 Bridge St Shelburne Falls, MA 01370, before the 7 pm concert with “Redbird” at Memorial Hall, right next door. Free, but donations encouraged.
January 2 (Monday) — 8 pm at Club Passim, 47 Palmer St., Cambridge, MA 02138, with musical guest Brendan Hogan. $10 at the door.
January 4 (Wednesday) — 6:30 p.m. at Billsville House Concerts, 44 Church St., Williamstown, MA, 02167. with musical guests Karl Mullen and Bernice Lewis. $5 at the door.
Feb. 23 (Thursday) — Folk Alliance International Conference, Memphis Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, Memphis, TN. Details TBA.
Feb. 25 (Saturday) — Winter Roots and Blues Roundup, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Details TBA.
March 9-19 — South By Southwest Festival, Austin, TX. Multiple screenings at locations to be announced.
Please contact me if you’re willing to help organize a screening in your area — you secure the venue and some good local musicians to open the show, and provide contacts with local media if you have them.
If it’s in driving distance of Pittsburgh I can bring the projector, screen and sound system. If it’s farther, I need to schedule three or four screenings within reasonable driving range of each other to defray the cost of the flight.
Once again, thanks for your support.

Spring or Summer is better, given your schedule. I would suggest lining up people in Ithaca and Syracuse and approaching West Kortright Center. NYC people end up in that part of Delaware county. oneonta is, sadly, full of sheeple.
